The 2022 Season is Coming to a Close Join us For Haul-Out Saturday October 29th at 9:30 a.m.
Its been a great, fun season, but it’s drawing to a close. Soon we’ll have to pull the Fleet and put the boats to rest in the Barn or in the Yard. Come join us to help the Haul-out and join the potluck lunch afterwards at the Club House! Just show up at the Club or riverside and someone will help engage you in the work that needs to be done. Until then, sail on!
The Fleet Has Been Launched, So Get On the Water
Scots were launched early in the last week of April, and the Thistles on Saturday the 30th. For new and/or unkeyed Members, weekend Instruction is now underway and Instructors by appointment are available (see the Members Only Instruction page for details). Bob Cann’s weekly email blast is already connecting sailors for mid-week sails. Wind, waves, warm sun and the comradery of your fellow sailors await you, so get out on the water and have some fun!

The 2021 Season is Over, but There’s More to Look Forward To In 2022!
The Fleet is pulled, with Thistles nestled in the Barn and Scots in the Yard. Its a sad time of year for sailors except…we’ve got the Fall Get Together and Club Meeting Sunday November 7 at 1230 pm at The Booth’s Tavern in New Castle, and the following weekend a Zoom call for those unable to make the dinner but want to review the year and finances. Look for an invite from the Commodore in your email. And after that, enjoy the winter! We’ve got quite a few members who like to ski so look for your fellow Club members for company on the slopes until the 2022 Spring Prep begins in early February.
Its Almost Time To Pull the Fleet…
Sadly, we’ve only got until the end of the month before its time to pull the Fleet. Look for more on the Members Only Fleet page once the Fleet Captain has finalized the plans. Looks like we’ll have a membership lunch afterwards, so look for more on that soon!
Mid-Week Events: Fun Sails and RacingI
The Club has restarted its Wednesday night 5 pm Fun Sail tradition. Members can show up riverside and join others on the water for sailing adventure. Its best to respond to Bob Cann's weekly sail email to let folks know you are coming.. If you make a last minute decision to come, we'll try our best to get you aboard a boat, whether keyed or not.
Also, Wednesday nights a new tradition has been established- a more relaxed fun racing program, followed usually by pizza and beer at the Club House. Contact Meg Farrugia for more information (or just respond to her weekly emails on these races).
