Membership in the club is limited to 130 families so that demand does not exceed boat availability.  After demonstrating satisfactory sailing skills, a member becomes 'keyed' and can take out a boat at any time. The club offers many opportunities to connect with your fellow sailors such as spring lunches when we gather for boat maintenance, and social cruises throughout the sailing season.

 Our club is committed to a safe sailing experience for all our members. Instruction starts in February with Saturday morning classroom sessions. On-the-water instruction commences in early May as soon as the boats are launched for the season. Instruction is scheduled for each Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Other instruction opportunities are available by mutual agreement between the student and instructor.

The club also offers races nearly every Saturday during the season. There is a spring series, a fall series, and a series of skill development races. Any keyed member can skipper a race. All members are welcomed to crew at any race. In addition to series racing, NCSC hosts 6 regattas during the season. Racing is a good way to hone your sailing skills and have fun doing so!

We currently have a SMALL NUMBER of new memberships available for our 2024 season. No experience is necessary to begin sailing immediately with a keyed member.  Join at anytime during the year, where the annual fee is prorated when joining after May (click on the Membership Dues link on left side of page).  Membership is per household, including two adults and dependent children. Both classroom and on-the-water instruction is included with the annual dues.  Please check out the membership information buttons on the left and apply for membership by clicking the “Apply Today” button in the upper right in the top main menu (or navigate to the “Apply Now!” page).
